Well, I beat everybody I could think of over the head, and could only convince 6 people to come. I used to be able to get 16-20. Some of it was bad timing, but warhammer apathy also definitely played a factor. I even made a really nice trophy: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10100944591343266&set=gm.1466945450278507&type=1&theaterStill we had a good time with the old diehards of the area. I liked the trophy too much, so I went and won it back. I like the new rules well enough. I feel like the miscast chart could be a little harsher for 6 dicing spells. With the current PD+2D6, the random 2D6 result plays a greater factor than the amount of dice used to cast. If this was changed to PD+2D3, the PD used would have greater impact, and you'd still have a sort of normal distribution for the most likely outcome. Nerfing the defensive benefit of all-hero fronts will hurt big time for me and my ogres, and a number of the folks I play with, but I think it is a good change overall. While there's nothing wrong with these rules, or 9th Age, I don't believe it is going to bring anybody new into warhammer. Instead we will just keep atrophying players, and the game will die a slow death.
