New Daemon WD release allowed?

Okay first leaks are out on the net of screen shots from the August WD of a new Daemons WFB update.

No reason to make a call now but Corey you'll have to take a look at the booklet after it officially drops and make a call on whether you are allowing or maybe requiring it.

The short of it is currently rumoured as:

New units including a soulgrinder rule set for WFB, daemonic chariots, and some weird 100x50mm (_oriented horizontally_) seeker of slaanesh type unit.

Flamers get nerfed and moved to special (lower strength, now suffer multiple shots penalty)

I have yet to see the update, but once I do, I will make a decision whether or not this will be used. Problem is, that not everyone gets White Dwarf. I am undecided at this point.

It is an official update, I don't think you should deny it. did you not allow terrorgeists for vamps last year? (I know you did allow them).

I agree with Keith on this. It's an Official update. It's all over the Internet already. It's akin to the Terrorgheist / Hero Wraith update a year ago.

And it helps pull back some of the brokenness of Flamers and such while adding interesting Slaanesh support.

I'm with Keith, Larry, et. al. on this. I only own a handful of army books, but I still show up expecting to play potentially any army. If anyone has an issue with not having the update, go buy a White Dwarf.

the store around here just got the latest WD, and now that I can see first hand that is is an official update, yes, it will be used at the Crossroads this year.

We have changed the army restrictions page to relect the Official update from White Dwarf.

A quick summary of the changes, the restriction on Flamers has been removed. Soulgrinders are 0-1.
